Bothy - (in Scotland) a small hut or cottage, especially one for housing farm labourers or for use as a mountain refuge.

Appointed by the MBA (Mountain Bothies Association), Neil Reid is in charge of the supervision of several bothies around Scotland. And on a weekly basis throughout the year, he hikes out to these shelters, ensuring they're kept to a high standard, safe to be used by anyone who may need them. The work involves anything from replacing roofing, to emptying toilets, and everything in-between.

This project documents the work which Neil carries out on a typical weekend, independently and completely isolated.
